| Communication Email is the Konocti Dance Academy's preferred method of communication for the purposes of dissemination of information, though as always, certain matters are best handled on the phone or in person. Our Director, Miss Annette, will make a reasonable attempt to return all voicemail and email messages within one to two business days. She will also be available for *brief* Q&A before or after each class. Please visit our website at www.konoctidanceacademy.com often to view the team calendar and stay current on KDT news & information - if you have a general question you will likely find the answer you seek! Facility Rules As with most performing groups, as time goes on the Konocti Dance Team kids may grow to be seen as community celebrities. People may want to watch them practice. But, everybody knows that performers need private time to rehearse. As such, all dance classes and team rehearsals are closed sessions, which basically means they are closed to the public. Parents/guardians and siblings may sit quietly and watch the class or rehearsal from the observation room. Don't worry, there will be many opportunities for extended family and friends to watch the dancers out in the community! After all, we are the community's dance team! It is recommended that every dancer be accompanied and monitored by an adult at all times. There will be no running or playing in the building while dance classes are in session. Noise levels must be kept to a minimum in order to prevent students from distraction. If at any given time any member of the Konocti Dance Academy staff feels that the environment is not conducive to learning, they may ask any observers to vacate the premises. Konocti Dance Academy reserves the right to refuse service to anyone. Safety Policy Students must be supervised by a parent or guardian AT ALL TIMES when not participating in dance class. There WILL NOT be any supervision available for any students not participating in a dance class. Older students may be allowed to leave the premises alone to walk or ride a bike home as long as previous arrangements have been made with KDA staff. Younger students must be picked up immediately following their class. If you need to make special arrangements, please discuss them with us ahead of time so we are aware of your intentions and your situation. We take the safety of our students very seriously. Unless extenuating circumstances have been discussed with the Konocti Dance Academy staff in advance, any child left without supervision for a significant period of time will be considered abandoned and authorities may be notified if the appropriate guardian is unreachable. Just be sure to communicate with us! General Policies Customers are responsible for cleaning up after themselves. We do not have a cleaning crew. Parents and guardians, please pick up after your students before you leave! Please put your name on ALL of your belongings and shoes. The students' clothing and equipment is all alike. Neither the Konocti Dance Academy, nor its staff, is responsible for lost or stolen items. There are risks of physical injury associated with, arising out of, and inherent to the activity of dance. In recognition of this, you, the parent or guardian of the student, agree to release Annette Lee and the Konocti Dance Academy; and hold them harmless of all liability, and hereby acknowledge that you are knowingly and voluntarily assuming full responsibility for all risks of physical injury arising out of active participation in a dance class or other dance related activities. The Director reserves the right to refuse service to any student, parent, or legal guardian for any reason including, but not limited to, failure to keep tuition payments current or not adhering to the policies and procedures set forth at this web site. Pictures and videos of the students and classes may be taken from time to time for promotional purposes. These pictures and videos are the property of the Konocti Dance Academy. |
